Because we have a waiting list of birds to enter our adoption program, some owners were concerned that in the event they could no longer care for their bird due to health reasons or new living arrangements, they would not be able to relinquish their bird when the need arose.

In response to this concern, we created a bypass program called The Legacy Program. Participants in this program provide a contribution to the Happy Pals Parrots Rescue and Rehabilitation Endowed Fund with Foundation. Their contribution holds a space in our program for their bird, and should they need to relinquish their bird, it would enter our adoption program immediately. Their gift helps to sustain our organization through the endowed fund, and we would provide excellent care for their bird until it finds a new adopted home.
